The SHSG Uniform is also available to purchase from 12:20 to 13:20 in the school foyer on the first Tuesday of every month.

Danielles Schoolwear Change of shop opening hours

Danielles Schoolwear has now opened a new shop/warehouse at Rayleigh Weir.  They are

therefore, changing their opening times at Rochford and Hockley shops:

HOCKLEY SHOP will now close WEDNESDAYS,           ALL other days open as usual.

ROCHFORD SHOP will now close MONDAYS,              ALL other days open as usual.

Uniform for all our schools is available from the RAYLEIGH WEIR SHOP  which is open Mon - Sat  9am - 5pm.

The following items must be purchased from our official stockists:

  • Green blazer
  • SHSG skirt (no shorter than 10 centimetres above the knee)

or

  • Black trousers (these are classic style, supplied by one of our official stockists, no others are acceptable)
  • White, ¾ sleeved, open-neck blouse with SHSG logo
  • Green V-neck jumper, or black V-neck jumper at KS4
  • PE uniform is available through the school or from our official stockists

Other items:

  • Natural tights, plain black tights or black socks
  • Black, low-heeled shoes (no boots, trainers, plimsolls or backless styles).
  • Coats, raincoats or jackets must be black, navy or dark green. Leather and denim are not permitted
  • The school scarf is optional
  • If students wish to cover their hair for religious reasons, a black or dark green headscarf, securely pinned, may be worn.
  • Green, long-sleeved overall for practical subjects and white overall or apron for Food Technology

Accessories:

  • Hair accessories must be dark green, brown or black.  Hair should be of a natural shade if artificially coloured. Multiple colours/shades are not acceptable
  • No make up or nail varnish is allowed at KS3.  Discreet make up and clear nail varnish is allowed at KS4
  • Nail extensions are not allowed.
  • Facial or tongue piercings are not allowed
  • No jewellery is allowed, with the exception of one small stud in each ear if the ears are pierced, and a watch. No form or ear expanding paraphernalia is allowed.

Please ensure that all uniform is clearly labelled with the student’s name and form.

Female

Green Blazer with SHSG emblem 
Plain, collared white shirt (short or long sleeved) or SHSG white open-collared blouse.
Black, smart full-length trousers or black SHSG pleated skirt. No jeans or leggings.
Plain, black V-neck jumper. 
Plain, black socks or plain black/natural tights. 
Black, smart shoes with heel no higher than 5cm. No trainers or boots. 
Green SHSG tie with emblem (Optional)

Male

Permitted Jewellery – One small stud per ear plus one discrete necklace, bracelet and ring. No other piercings or tattoos are permitted.  
Hair – Natural colour hair. Plain black or green hairbands or headscarves are permitted. Outdoor Coat – Plain, dark coat. No hoodies or sportswear. 
Make-up – Discrete make-up is permitted. 
Sportswear – You may wear any suitable clothing while participating in school sporting activities.
