E-Safety Information Evening
This event will take place between 6:30pm and 8:30pm on 20/06/2019.
I am sure you will be aware of how much your children rely on modern communication technology such as the Internet, smartphones and social networking as part of their daily lives. Technology moves very fast and it can be difficult to keep up with what young people are doing online. At Southend High School for Girls we are aware that many of our students have tablets, mobile phones or other devices that link to the World Wide Web and potentially millions of strangers. We have all heard of worrying stories involving young people online, particularly through the use of social networking sites. We would like to offer parents the opportunity to attend an information evening workshop to learn about what children are currently using and how to ensure that you are protecting your children from online risks and dangers.
The evening workshop will be run by E-Safety expert John Woodley, who will discuss the ‘dangers of strangers online’ and how we can ensure our children are all using technology as safely as possible.
The workshop will take place in the school hall from 6.30pm until 8.30pm on Thursday 20th June If you would like to book a place, please complete the reply slip below and ask your son/daughter to return it to their form tutor by Wednesday 19th June.
Please note this is an adult only event and is not suitable for children.
I look forward to seeing many of you there.
