Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:00pm

Friday 7am – 2:30pm

Starting Salary Scale 5 point 10 – £23,620 per annum

We are seeking a dependable and efficient individual to join our existing Premises Team to maintain our extensive grounds ensuring a pleasant environment for both staff and students.

As part of this role you will be responsible for unlocking the school each morning and assisting the Premises Team to undertake general duties.

 Experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • abide by the school rules and regulations particularly in respect of health & safety while taking every opportunity to learn and develop all necessary skills for grounds maintenance.
  • operate grounds maintenance equipment including tractors, trailers, lawn mowers and strimmer.
  • maintain the school grounds under the direction of the Premises Manager including grass cutting, hedge trimming flower pruning, watering, and general grounds maintenance.
  • assist in providing access, where possible, to the premises and classrooms in the event of snow or minor flooding or similar emergency situations.
  • well-motivated, and able to work on their own initiative.
  • be able to take direction and work well as part of a team.
  • assist the site team in all general duties as required
