    What a busy year this has been and how it has flown by. The school has flourished this year with new initiatives, particularly in science, and development of our favourite activities such as Flexible Friday.  We are national champions in both junior and intermediate athletics and national finalists in tennis. Our sports teams are outstanding and special mention should go to the netball teams who have been tremendous this year.

    SHSG continues to work with primary schools;  we have delivered a maths day, an Africa day and a MFL theatre day this term.  Eleven schools came in to share the fun of Pi Day on 14th March.  Mrs Imbush and the maths department work tirelessly to make this day such a huge success and we were supported by Rachel Riley (ex student) who spent much of the day being motivational and mathematical.  For more on this story and to read about many other 'Highlights' such as BBC School News Report (students pictured above) click here.

    What a fantastic year it has been.  We celebrated Black History Month with a National Exhibition here in school and a range of activities in liaison with the Royal Opera House.  Our sports teams have been outstanding.  We have had a great many visitors this year especially from primary schools.  These things are just the tip of the iceberg.  SHSG is a very busy school and everyone is now ready for the summer break.
