The Curriculum

"The curriculum is excellent and provides a very wide range of subjects to support students, achievement of academic excellence. It is enriched with a wide range of visits, conferences, special focus days (Flexible Fridays) and opportunities for students to choose activities they want to engage in."

The subjects included within the curriculum are delivered through six faculties, these are; Science, Mathematics, Communications, Creative and Performing Arts, Modern Foreign Languages and the Humanities & International faculty.

For Years 7-9, we allocate lessons per subject over a 2-week timetable as follows:

During the course of Year 9, students choose their preferred options (including 1 modern foreign language and a humanities subject) and begin a 2 year course from the start of Year 10 through to GCSE examinations. English, Mathematics and Science remain compulsory and we maintain a core Religious Studies,  Physical Education and PSHE programme throughout KS4.
