Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is a Government funding initiative to provide additional money to schools in order to raise the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The funding received by each school is based upon the number of students eligible for free school meals at any time during the six years preceding the January School Census, which the Department for Education uses as an indicator of disadvantage.
