Southend High School for Girls is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students. The health, safety and wellbeing of every student is of paramount importance. We ensure continuous development and improvement of robust safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of safeguarding amongst our staff. A copy of our safeguarding policy for 2020-2021 can be accessed below.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a student's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our students are discussed with the student's parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the student's welfare.
Our Safeguarding Child Protection Policy can be downloaded below, along with safeguarding information for visitors to the school.
