GCSE Triumph at SHSG!
Following last week’s exceptional A Level results, Southend High School for Girls is once again celebrating academic excellence, this time with their phenomenal Year 11 students. Half of all grades were awarded at Grade 9 and Grade 8, and 20% of grades were Grade 9s! Overall, 72% of grades were Grades 9 – 7, marking another proud milestone for SHSG. 77 students achieved an average grade of 9 – 8!
Headteacher Jason Carey shared, “These results are truly outstanding. We couldn’t be prouder of our students. It has been a wonderful morning celebrating with them and their families. A huge thank you to our brilliant staff for their expertise, unwavering support, and commitment.”
Mr Carey added, “Along with last week’s superb A Level results, we are heading into September with real momentum. We can’t wait to welcome our new Year 12s as they begin their A Level journey at SHSG.”
National Recognition for Art
Natasha Ansari and Annabel Brant have been named among the top performers in the country for an extraordinary accolade. The exam board personally congratulated both for their exceptional work. Natasha is pictured below.
