Staying connected

Our Alumni

As a school we have a strong tradition of maintaining links with our former students and we want this to continue.

We have an alumni network through which we would like to keep you up to date with the school’s progress, development and achievements.

We are keen to find out where our alumni are now – which career paths you have followed, universities you have attended, subjects you have studied and where in the world you are based now.  In addition, we hope to be able to facilitate opportunities for alumni reunion events in the future.

The school is also keen to draw on the knowledge and expertise of our alumni as part of supporting our current students in their education, employability and career development.

Suggestions

If you have any suggestions on ways in which we could enhance or develop our alumni network, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Rachel Riley

“My time at Southend Girls taught me to be confident, to strive for the best in everything I do and gave me my best friends that I’m still very close to today!  I remember my time there fondly, from the 25 wall clocks that would be gifted by each class on the school birthday, to proudly representing SHSG in the National Schools Athletics Finals, lots of fun was had whilst getting a great education and I owe the school and its dedicated teachers a lot.”
