I was a student at SHSG from 2009 to 2016. In that time, I went from knowing only English to studying French, Spanish, Latin, Ancient Greek, and completing an EPQ on the resurgence of Catalan language and culture. I secured a place to study Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge, and have since completed a Master’s and a PhD in francophone literature at the University of Oxford. I was the first in my family to go to university and I remain so grateful for the encouragement, guidance and opportunities that I received throughout my time at school, especially from the wonderful and tirelessly committed teachers in the MFL department.
