GCSE Triumph!

Following last week’s exceptional A Level results, Southend High School for Girls is once again celebrating academic excellence, this time with their phenomenal Year 11 students. Over 80% of SHSG’s Year 11s secured an average of grade 7, 8 or 9 in their GCSEs, marking another proud milestone for SHSG. 47% of grades were at grades 9 and 8 and a fifth of all grades were at the highest grade 9 outcome.

Headteacher Jason Carey shared, “These results are truly outstanding. Our Year 11s have shown incredible dedication and resilience, and we couldn’t be prouder of their success. A huge thank you to our brilliant staff for their unwavering support and commitment.”

Mr Carey added, “Last week’s A Level results were a cause for celebration, and now, with these remarkable GCSE outcomes, we’re heading into September with real momentum. We can’t wait to welcome our new Year 12s as they begin their A Level journey at SHSG.”
