‘Genazine’ is the SHSG Social Science faculty magazine, ‘for the students, by the students’ contributed to by our Year 12 and 13 Business, Economics, Government and Politics, Psychology and Sociology students. Since our first edition in 2021, the magazine has covered a range of topics which represent the interests and academic studies of our social science students. Articles include topics which effect young people, such as the impact of local crime and the state of our economy, as well as global issues such as Human Rights abuse in Iran.
The thought-provoking photograph taken by Ayaah on the front cover of edition 2, was awarded runner up in the Cambridge Sociology Photography competition.
Pupils in the Year 10 and above read articles from Genazine, and discuss the issues raised as part of their registration programme.
