We are seeking an excellent peripatetic guitar teacher to join our highly successful and supportive Music Department to teach students of all abilities during the school day.

The successful candidate will themselves be an inspiring musician, with a proven ability as a performer and teacher.

This position is on a zero hours contract,  and we currently have 6 hours of teaching time available, although there is scope for building on pupil numbers in due course.

30 – 32 weeks per year dependent on length of school term

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • teach guitar at all levels in both classical and contemporary styles
  • prepare students for ABRSM, Trinity, and Rock School graded examinations
  • use PracticePal as a platform to schedule lessons and provide remote provision when required
  • timetable students’ lessons on a weekly rota basis wherever possible
  • keep accurate records of student attendance and lesson content
  • provide an end of year report to parents following the schools’ procedures
