Please find below a copy of the communications sent to parent/carers regarding COVID-19.

All documents should have already been received by parents, by email. If you have not received this, please check your SIMS Parent app or contact the school to ensure your contact details are up-to-date. Contact details: / 01702 588852

We will update this page as and when information is available.

If you are a keyworker and require in-school provision for your child, to enable you to attend work considered crucial to the COVID-19 response, please email by 3pm the day before provision is required.

23rd March 2020 - Letter sent from Headteacher with updates, plus attachments.

19th March 2020 - Letter sent regarding imminent school closure. If you are a key worker, please complete the following survey:

18th March 2020 - Letter sent to all parents regarding cancellation of events. Years 10 & 12 have been asked to have home study dates on Thursday 19th March and Friday 20th March,  to ensure we have enough staff to operate the school safely. Instructions on the use of Office365 can be found below.

17th March 2020 - please ensure your contact details are correct. If you are a parent of a child here at SHSG and you are NOT receiving emails from us, please email to let us know.

16th March 2020 - This week we have cancelled:

  • 18th March Year 12 Parents’ Evening 
  • 19th March ‘I think We Are Alone’ Theatre Trip 
  • 27th March Movie Night Year 8 

With regard to the Year 12 Parents’ Evening, we will contact you shortly to inform you about your child's progress and give you an opportunity to communicate with your child’s teachers.

 In addition, you will receive a letter detailing further events, trips and visits that have been rescheduled or cancelled.
