Culture Celebration – Non Uniform Day
7 July 2022

Celebration of Culture – 7 July 2022
We are holding a Celebration of Culture event on Thursday 7th July. The aim of the event is to celebrate the different cultures within the school. The day is student-led with all students being given the opportunity to run sessions to share their culture with their peers.
Years 7 and 8 will have the first two lessons of the day off timetable; Years 9 and 10 will have the final two lessons of the day off timetable. Year 12 will be invited to attend a session during the third lesson of the day provided it coincides with a free period or supervised study. This will enable students to participate in activities related to the different cultures and languages we have in the school.
The day will also be a non-uniform day and students are encouraged to wear clothing representing their culture.
Guidance for non-uniform:
- Clothes to represent your child’s culture and identity.
- This can also be colours that represent a country or its flag.
- Students can also wear clothes to represent their music culture.
Items not permitted:
- Heels
- Any clothes with slogans/language that anyone may deem as inappropriate.
If students have a PE lesson they will need to bring their PE kit to change into.
Thank you for your support in our Celebration of Culture.
Yours faithfully
